some say she’s spawned of angels
come down to kiss the children’s cheeks
Her wings were torn
blood stained, an abode to maggots and worms
her eyes closed softly as if in a dream
some spoke of Peggy Powler and the naiads in the streams
but her wingspan was wide
the monoliths will crumble and the harpies will grow weak
when the ponds in her eyes, come alive
